![]() ![]() It holds a lot of food and is quiet and looks great flush with the cabinets. I have the freezer on the bottom model with the cabinet panels. The second one we have had for eleven years no problem except just this year the motor went on the ice maker. One worked perfectly 8 years no problem and was only replaced because the new kitchen remodel required the door opening the opposite way. Bought the entire set up late December and still everything not functional! Unreal! Thermador is made by Bosch so I imagine that Thermador, Bosch and Wolf are all equally crappy. By the way, their parts are outsourced as is their technical service. They are not allowed to make follow up calls so you have to keep checking. Called them again and again and it is back-ordered! For a supposedly top of the line appliances, their customer service is atrocious- very indifferent attitude. Then the exhaust fan in the hood started making very loud noises and the tech came again, said the fan has to be replaced (luckily under warranty) but no sign of the fan in six weeks. Then the oven - the paint started chipping off the burner tray. In the first week, they had to come back to service the dishwasher as all the settings were on max and melted a bunch of plastic containers. I will never ever again buy Thermador and sister brands (Bosch, Wolf) nor will I recommend to anyone. We have a Bosch dishwasher (still working) but our Bosch washer and dryer both gave out sooner than they should have and needed to be replaced so I am not sold on Bosch going forward.īought Thermador gas oven, hood and dishwasher last December. By the way, if you don't like the signature red Wolf knobs, they also provide stainless or black knobs at no extra charge. We chose that brand because of the good reviews and because Thermador no longer makes the configuration that has the gas grill in the center (which my husband likes), and partially because my husband was not happy that Thermador discontinued the ignitor part so now he has a bias against the brand. We went with a Wolf cooktop and so far we love it. We heard Viking has had some repair issues so looked at other brands. But overall, 13 years is a pretty good run for appliances. This upset us quite a bit because it is an inexpensive part and there was nothing else wrong with it. Unfortunately, Thermador no longer made the part and we had to replace the cooktop. The oven is still going strong, the warming drawer needed a minor repair but the cooktop had a problem (recently), when three of the four ignitors died. ![]() I bought a Thermador electric oven, gas cooktop and warming drawer 13 years ago when I remodeled my kitchen. ![]()
